A dental plan should offer you:
Immediate access. Have a dental emergency? With no waiting periods you can sign up online today and literally go to the dentist tomorrow. You'll save 20% to 60% on most of the dental procedures performed routinely including oral exams; you get unlimited cleaning's and major work such as dentures, root canals and crowns are also included. 

Orthodontics. Braces are COSTLY!  A discounted dental plan can save you 20% - 25% off full or "sticker" price that a dentist would charge you if you walked in the door with nothing.  Example: You're quoted $3,000 for orthodontic work.  With a 20% discount you're cost would be $2,250. 

Are specialists Included?  This is a must. If you need any kind of oral surgery - even for an impacted tooth, you'll be going to a specialist.  Examples: Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Pedodontics, Periodontics, dentures, etc. Save 20% on all work done by a Dental Specialist. 

Large Provider Network - ALL low cost dental plans require you to go to a "plan provider" that within their "network."  It's imperative that you find dentists in your area before you sign up for any dental plan.
